Dr. Summayya Anwar is a distinguished cancer genomics researcher and an emerging leader in bioinformatics. She currently serves as the Country Director for Research Hub Nexus Pakistan and Head of Bioinformatics Research at the global platform. Internationally, she remotely mentors doctors and researchers as a Research Mentor at the California Institute of Behavioral Neurosciences and Psychology (CIBNP), USA, where she provides expert guidance in research writing, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses, while supporting learners in navigating the scientific publication process.

A PhD Scholar at COMSATS University Islamabad, Dr. Summayya is affiliated with the Cancer Genetics & Epigenetics Research Lab, where she investigates the promoter methylation status of genes in breast cancer, integrating molecular biology with computational genomics to drive advancements in precision medicine.

With over 10 years of research experience, she previously served as a Researcher at the Department of Biochemistry, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, where she led projects in biochemistry, molecular genetics, antimicrobial research, and medicinal plant-based therapeutic investigations.

Dr. Summayya has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in reputable international journals, with contributions spanning gene expression profiling, epigenetic regulation, and bioinformatics-driven translational oncology. She is also a peer reviewer for several scientific journals, upholding high standards in research quality and scientific integrity.

Her technical proficiency encompasses a broad spectrum of computational and laboratory tools, including Galaxy, Geneious, Python, R, SPSS, Tableau, GraphPad Prism, UCSC Genome Browser, and NCBI resources. She has hands-on expertise in DNA/RNA extraction, qPCR, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, protein profiling, and cancer cell culture, and she is adept at applying machine learning and multi-omics approaches in biomedical research.

Through her leadership at Research Hub Nexus and global mentorship at CIBNP, Dr. Summayya is dedicated to fostering collaborative innovation, building research capacity, and contributing to the advancement of biomedical sciences.
