Etus Patrick Chimuanya

Etus Patrick Chimuanya is a microbiologist and public health–focused researcher with training in healthcare administration and risk management. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Imo State University, Nigeria, and an MBA in Healthcare Administration and Risk Management from Ohio Dominican University, Columbus, Ohio. He has co-authored several peer-reviewed scientific articles published in international journals on infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, infection prevention, cholera epidemiology, and drinking water quality.

He has professional experience as a Regulatory Officer with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), where he supported regulatory compliance and public health protection, and as an Administrator at Intervalmed Primary Care, contributing to healthcare operations and quality improvement. He is a member of the American Public Health Association (APHA), the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), and the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), and continues to advance public health through research, regulatory engagement, and evidence-based healthcare administration in areas of national and global public health importance.
